Believe me the issue in Wisconsin is only getting more dire. Gov. Walker announced a budget plan today that slashes public education spending. The House is taking up deregulation. This includes slashing the budget for OSHA (Occupantional Health and Safety Administration.) Apparently, making sure workers are safe hurts big business so we shouldn’t do it. I will talk about both these issues at length in the coming days. Today, I have a little hometown story to promote. Unfotunately, it’s a sad one.
Bill Grigsby died last Saturday. For nearly fifty years, Grigsby was a
broadcaster for the Kansas City Chiefs. He retired from the Chiefs Radio Network in 2009. He did the radio broadcast for the Chiefs during their appearance in the first Super Bowl. He was a Kansas City icon, and a great man. Independent Kansan would like to express our condolences to the Grigsby family, and say thanks Grigs for all you did. You will be missed.
