A Little Question.

I’m going to take the day off of politics and societal commentary and just ask a quick question. I was watching the beginning credits of the CBS sitcom “Rules of Engagement.” In those credits the character Timmy, played by Adhir Kalyan, appears to be holding a Sony Vaio laptop. Do you think Sony paid for that?

  1. I bet they did! Product placement has been around for quite some time.

  2. Vaio, eh? I think I’m going to buy one of those clickers so every time I see an Apple logo looking at me in print and film. You can always tell when no one has paid for product placement because its a can that just says “beer” and that in itself is an ad placed by the producer to notify potential advertisers that “This space is available.”

  3. Sony pictures produces Rules of engagement. and they changed the vaio logo. im not exactly sure why but i guess there might be laws which wouldn’t let them use the original logo.
